This Campbeltown holiday cottage is
ideally situated for walking and cycling. Whether it is a gentle
cycle or stroll around the Campbeltown harbour and headland.
Alternatively visit the more adventurous hilltop routes around
the Kintyre peninsula using this holiday cottage as the perfect
base. At low tide a
natural shingle causeway is exposed at the mouth of Campbeltown
Loch. This provides walking access to Davaar Island
featuring a lighthouse, caves and more breath-taking
views.
Golf is an extremely popular
past time in Campbeltown. Golfers can test their skills on the
world renowned Machrihanish Golf Club which is an “easy drive”,
only ten minutes way. |

Directions |
|
From Glasgow take the
M8 heading towards Greenock as far as the Erskine Bridge. Go over
the bridge and follow the signs to Campbeltown – A82. The
A82 will take you along part of Loch Lomond, briefly around the
top of Loch Long, and a long way down the side of Loch Fyne. At
Tarbet on Loch Lomond stay on the road to Campbeltown – it becomes
the A83 at this point. The A83 will take you all the way to
Campbeltown down the Kintyre peninsula.
Drive into the centre of Campbeltown
by following the main road which will lead
you to Campbeltwon Loch and the Harbour. At the roundabout
continue straight along the dual carriageway and at the end of
this road turn right. Take your first left and continue
along Kilkerran Road for approx. 1km.
