Overview of the Village Hall

The Village Hall is surrounded by peaceful and pleasant farm land with the islands of Islay and Jura in the distance.  With five huge sash windows and three tall lancet windows (all double-glazed!) the extensive open plan living space has uninterrupted views of the hills with light pouring in from three sides.  At night you can lie in bed and star gaze through the skylights.

The Village Hall was until recently the village hall for Drumlemble and was originally built in 1899 as a Mission Church for the miners that worked the local coal mine and lived in the nearby cottages.  The Village Hall and the cottages are the only remnants of this industry.  When the local community decided that the Village Hall was underused and that the funds raised by its sale could be put to better use in the community it was converted to a house whilst retaining much of its character and external traditional appearance.

Facilities

The Village Hall is entirely surrounded by a secure garden, with high stone walls on three sides and iron railings to the front.  The garden is laid to lawn and has a washing line.  There is a disabled access from the front gate to the front door and a disabled access ramp continues around to the back door.

Parking is available adjacent to the property.

In addition to the accommodation already listed there is an entrance hall with plenty of room to hang coats and store boots.  Downstairs there is a shower room with toilet and basin.  Also on the ground floor is the ensuite bathroom with a bath with shower over, toilet and basin and upstairs is a bathroom with bath, toilet and basin.
